zoo

Lindsay was so kind and brought us to the zoo as her guest (they're zoo people)! Carter loved looking at all the animals. His favorites were the bear, the fish, the ducks, and the sea lions.

Jude had fun hanging out in the stroller most of the day.

Cool guy Carter

Lindsay showing Carter the monkeys

This is the oldest and biggest elephant in the USA! Carter liked him a lot.

Me and Lindsay

At least I was looking at the camera, silly boys. Sidenote: this little family came over by us and parked their stroller seriously 2 inches from ours. Then they sat down RIGHT next to us. As you can see, there's plenty of empty, unoccupied, open space. I know we're good looking but seriously!?

Carter got so worn out from all his running and playing. He looks like he's about to fall asleep while looking at the zebras. Thanks for the fun day Lindsay! We loved every minute.

Park

Carter sliding with his friend. This is all he wanted to do the entire time.

Jude lovin the swing

I love this picture! Carter and his little friend were running and every couple minutes they would just stop and hug and then keep on running. It was hilarious and adorable.

itsy bitsy spider

He can't say the words yet but he sings anyways!

Jude

This baby is so photogenic! Every picture I take of him is cuter than the last. He's always smiling so that makes it easy.

Mr. Curly

No doubt about him having his mama's curly hair.

Wings under the hat

But it flattens out when he sleeps. After he woke up and I got him dressed for the day he insisted on having his pjs back on. So over the top they went. That's why they look so lumpy.

almost crawling

I can't believe my baby is almost crawling! That blanket in the background is where he started out.

California trip

Our first stop on our long road trip was to see our friends Aaron and Amber. They have twins that are just 3 days older than Jude. They were born on my due date and boy oh boy was I jealous! They are so SO cute! Jude was trying to show them how to roll over and it came across as looking like he's choking his new friend. Carter had fun with their older girl, Hailey, but I didn't get any pictures of them playing.

Next, we went to San Francisco for a day. Here's the fam with Alcatraz in the background. Bad picture of me and Jude but so cute of the Dennisons.

Ha ha, this looks like a mug shot of me. I didn't know I would be in the picture. Jude fell right asleep while we were walking around fisherman's warf. Please notice the drool.

Poor Carter was so sick of hotel rooms by the end of this trip. But this room had a perfect Carter-sized cupboard. He would tell us "bye" and then go hide in there. Then we would hear a faint, "go?" (translation: "where did I go?") and so we would say, "Carter, where are you?" and he would pop out thinking he was the funniest kid ever.

We drove around Presideo Army Base while we were there. This is the house Dennison lived in when he was really young. He even showed me where he and his brother made a fort and named it "snake base x-r-zero". He had fun driving around and remembering all the fun things he used to do.

Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge.

The next day we drove down to my aunt and uncle's house. Dennison and Jude were enjoying the sunshine.

Two of my cousins had babies within a month of when Carter was born. Here he is with Wade and Abby. Aren't they so cute?!

We went to downtown Disney.......

And had lunch....

With KRISSI!!!
Krissi was my first ever friend when we were oh so young. I used to ask my mom everday, "Can I call Krissi?" It's been at least 5 years since we've seen each other and it was so wonderful to catch up!

While there, we went to the build-a-bear. Carter is really into stuffed animals now so he loved it. The darker one is CJ (carter junior) and the lighter one is JJ (you can probably guess...Jude junior). CJ has a 49ers jersey (I wonder who picked that out.....?) and JJ has a disneyland shirt. Carter wouldn't let go of them to put on their clothes so they had to wait.

Here's what most of our trip looked like.

I'm tellin ya, Carter loves his little brother! He climbed up on the bed and when I looked at him again they were just laying there holding hands. precious.

And finally we were on our way home. I was giving Carter pieces of my fruit leather. He kept asking for more and it didn't seem that he had had enough time to eat the last piece. When I turned around, I saw this. He must have been very bored. He was so happy to be home and get to run around and play with his toys again. He was obviously very exhausted. This morning he slept until 11:30!! And then took a 3 hour nap! Hopefully he will be back to normal tomorrow.

It was a really fun trip overall. The reason for the trip was so I could go the the practitioner training for Hypnobirthing. I will be starting to teach classes soon! I'm so excited and I had so much fun taking the classes last week. I have a little more work to do until I'm officially certified but it won't take long. So tell your friends, I'll start teaching as soon as I get a full class!
