fresh raspberries

We had some friends in town a few weeks ago and went raspberry picking with them.  After that, we all came back to our house for lunch and swimming.  We put the lunch spread out on a blanket in the backyard and this little girl was going crazy with all the fruit.  Especially the raspberries.  She was making a huge mess but I didn't even care because she's just so cute!

Snips and snails... more like frogs and snakes

When I opened the door from our garage to the outside, I saw a little garter snake.  I quickly called the boys over so they could see and then Dennison picked it up and put it in this bucket.  They wanted to put it in a jar so I told them that one of them would have to pick it up to put it in there.  Jude didn't even hesitate.  The boy has no fear.  Except for monsters in his bedroom at night.  Anyways, we put holes in the lid and made them kinda big so the little snake could escape if he wanted.  That being said, the snake jar was not allowed in our house.

Then a few days later, we found a little frog in the garden center at Home Depot.  We, of course, had to bring it home and make a little home for it.  But the poor thing was starving.  What do you feed a tiny little frog?? So, we opened the top and let him hop out when the boys were asleep.  We dumped out all the sticks and leaves and things they had put in there for him.  The next morning, Carter noticed he was gone.  I told him that he went to go find his family, but he took his home with him because you built him such a good home!  That made him happy and he hasn't missed him much.

Silly boys.
