When I opened the door from our garage to the outside, I saw a little garter snake. I quickly called the boys over so they could see and then Dennison picked it up and put it in this bucket. They wanted to put it in a jar so I told them that one of them would have to pick it up to put it in there. Jude didn't even hesitate. The boy has no fear. Except for monsters in his bedroom at night. Anyways, we put holes in the lid and made them kinda big so the little snake could escape if he wanted. That being said, the snake jar was not allowed in our house.

Then a few days later, we found a little frog in the garden center at Home Depot. We, of course, had to bring it home and make a little home for it. But the poor thing was starving. What do you feed a tiny little frog?? So, we opened the top and let him hop out when the boys were asleep. We dumped out all the sticks and leaves and things they had put in there for him. The next morning, Carter noticed he was gone. I told him that he went to go find his family, but he took his home with him because you built him such a good home! That made him happy and he hasn't missed him much.

Very cute! I kind of miss all of the stuff. With 3 girls all we play is dress-up and tea parties. Chris tries to do little boy things, but his sisters usually put a stop to all of the things he wants to do.
Okay, I'm right there with you on this issue. I swear caden catches something every day and wants to keep it. Yesterday was a snake and two praying mantises (sp?). The day before, it was a bird that he caught with his butterfly net. I'm glad Carter was a good sport about the frog "escaping." :) your kids are so cute!
