Carter had his first dentist visit today. He woke up a few weeks ago with a crooked tooth. He must've hit it on something? Anyways, it's kinda loose and noticeably crooked (you can kinda see it in this picture - the front left tooth) so I made him an appointment. He loved sitting in the big chair all by himself and watching cartoons while they took an x-ray and checked out his tooth. The dental hygienists were all cracking up at how relaxed he was just watching Popeye. They gave him three little toy cars along with a new toothbrush. He was so sad when we had to leave. Overall, it was a huge success.
And the tooth should just gradually move back into alignment (just in time to fall out, of course).
Then we went to the park where Jude tasted every bark chip he could get his little hands on
The cake (which still hasn't been cut, but the cupcakes are gone)
"Lemme git dat"
Playing with his new bath toys before Carter claimed them as his own.
I can't believe my little baby Jude is a whole year old! He is such a sweet little guy, much more cuddly than Carter ever was. He says, "mama" and "dada" and walks about half the time. He's always trying to figure things out and is very stubborn. He's so patient with Carter's craziness and loves to be held most of the time. He soaks up any and all attention he gets from anyone. We love our little Jude!
This is the umbrella that Carter got as a prize for throwing his paci in the trash. It took him about 4 days of seeing it hanging up by keys before he finally gave in and did it. During the day, he's very happy with his decision, especially when it's raining. But at nap and bed time, that's a horse of a different color. He's still struggling with going to sleep but at least he's staying asleep pretty well. Hopefully the detox will be over soon and the withdrawal symptoms will subside.
So I got my hair cut. Again. I really like it this time. I also made jewelry while listening to conference while the boys took a nap. They both slept through nearly the entire afternoon session on Saturday! It was a conference miracle :)
Carter looks so silly because we kept saying, "get up higher by Mommy for the picture." Instead of actually scooting up, he just lifted his chin.
You may be wondering, who is this girl in the picture? Well, that's Jude. He has been mistaken for a girl countless times out in public. I'm pretty sure it's because of his long hair, I swear I don't dress him girly! I kinda want to cut it, but Dennison doesn't want to until his birthday in a few weeks. So I gave him a ponytail to try and get the haircut date moved up.... didn't work.
