Our 4th of July weekend!

This year for the 4th of July we were so excited to meet Jake, Sylvia, and Tori as well as my parents in McCall, where my sister and brother live with their families. We rented a cabin at the Tamarack Resort with the Greens and it was a blast! Just like old times, there were several late nights, talking and playing games. We miss those smurfy fools, it was really fun spending time with them! When we weren't at the cabin, we were mostly spending time with my family, which was also wonderful. Here's a peek at the fun filled weekend me had: Above is my only and awesome sister with her son Ike and my Jude (they're 6 weeks apart).

Carter riding down to the parade in style

Loading his pockets with candy from the parade.

Playing with his cousin's cars. He often lines up his toys.

Payette Lake in the background. This is where I grew up - beautiful, huh?

Playing in the pool. Jake, Sylvia (yawning), and Tori in the background

Playing with Grandpa in the pool. This quickly moved Grandpa to the top of Carter's list of favorite people.

Warming up, trying to get the blue out of his lips.

Feeding the chickens with cousin Ani.

He held on to this cat so tight. He did not want him to run away again since it took him so long to catch him the first time.
REUNITED!
This is Oliver, who only has three legs now. He was our cat but was adopted by my sister when we moved to Vancouver. I think he remembers me :)

Jude and Ike with G-ma

Superman on the boat

My sister Rachel hangin out with Carter

At the beach

Carter with his cousin Briar. His face is so goofy because he just ate a handful of sand. And check out Briar's tan!

Zonked out on the boat

Carter would've played at the beach all day if we let him.

The only picture of us with the Greens. We really shoud've taken more.... next time, right?

Carter puttin the moves on his long distance flame Tori

After our weekend, my parents drove back with us and spent some time here. Carter refused to go to bed, he just wanted to lay with Grandpa.

My parents and my boys. All day yesterday (after my parents left) Carter kept saying, "Bye Bye Grandpa" or "Grandpa. Truck. Gone." and he would go check the driveway for Grandpa's truck. Needless to say, he loved spending time with them.
We had a great weekend. Hopefully we'll get to see you all again soon! We'll have to come after Jude's future girlfriend is born :)

Robin, I love looking at your blog! So many darling pictures. It's to bad you are so far away from your family. I know how much your parents love and miss you. I'll keep checking your blog, so keep up the cute dialogs and pictures.
