"I'm a robot!"

That's what he told me as he walked towards me, arms extended, in this get-up.

18 months old

Jude is officially 18 months old! I can't believe it. The best part? Nursery, of course! He did really well this last week. I think having Carter in there with him helps a lot. Anyways, let's take a look at the past 18 months....

Above, is a picture from the morning after he was born.

He's about a week old in this one.

This was after being traumatized by sitting on Santa's lap for a picture. What mean parents! He loves to cuddle like this though, especially when he's tired.

With his "doggie-bear"

Doggie-bear in his jacket

On his first birthday. Yes, we gave him the cupcake.

Did I mention that he always has a dirty face? Cause he really does.

Ready for his first day in nursery!

Jude is a pretty awesome little dude. He always says, "yeah" when I ask him a question. He's very agreeable and easy-going so you will rarely hear the word "no" escape his lips.... only when he really means it. He is always happy. I'm not kidding, always. He just loves life! He's always been a cuddler and still asks me often to hold him. He takes any opportunity to bring a book and sit on my lap to read it. He LOVES playing with cars of any kind. The only thing he loves more than cars is doggies. He can spot a doggie from miles away. He's always pointing out pictures of doggies in stores and he sees real dogs coming before anyone else. He goes to sleep each night with his "doggie-bear" which is really just a little stuffed bear that he used to call "doggie" all the time. One of his favorite objects to carry around with him is a silly little day planner with a picture of a puppy on the front. He spotted it in Target and then slobbered all over it, forcing us to buy it. He also really loves Carter. He gets so excited when Carter plays with him. Their favorite game is to chase each other around our halls and scare each other around the corners. The halls form a square so it's the perfect course for their game. Jude talks quite a bit, way more than Carter did at this age. He says new words everyday so it's hard to keep up with his vocabulary. He's always surprising me :) His favorite words are "darder" (Carter), "yeah!", "mrrr"(more), "hold you", and "help". He uses them often. He loves to swing at the park. Sometimes he stays in the swing for the duration of our park visit. He also loves the spinning thing at our park. He sometimes climbs up on our office chair and tells me to spin him. And he never stops voluntarily, I have to force him out so he doesn't barf. He loves to be tickled, chased, teased, hugged, anything like that. I could go on and on.... but I have to go make dinner. What a fantastic addition to our family this little one is! He's just so much fun and has such a sweet sweet spirit. We sure love Jude!

warm weather!

Jackpot!!!!!

(Do you like my new haircut?)

These boys have been loving the nice weather! They just run back and forth from fence to fence in our little backyard. I just sit and read or do nothing. It's pretty nice.

Jude has some great facial expressions

What a cutie!

Carter is very serious about baseball

They never look at me at the same time, no matter how silly I get for them

All that playing really wore him out! Asleep with one hand in his bowl of cheerios and the other on his juice.

Taking a little rest in his train. With some friends.

Post-it notes gone crazy.

This is one of his favorite hang-outs. He's got all the toys he needs in there with him.

You can tell when Jude is tired because he just collapses on any blanket he sees. Or in the hall at church. Or on the bark chips at the park. Carter's been keeping him up late and getting him up too early. poor tired boy.

Jude just woke up, looking a little tired still. But Carter's just happy as can be.

hail storm

Wowzers! Yesterday, it got sunny (finally) and then a few minutes later.... this happened.

Carter wanted to "go step on it!" so we did.

Can you believe that just last week, we were cruisin around in this little beauty? Now look what's become of it.

Jude's growin up

A few nights ago, Carter "helped" Jude climb out of his pack 'n play by throwing all his blankets and stuffed animals in to raise the mattress level. They both came running out of their, so proud of themselves. We weren't too worried, since it was the pack 'n play and not his actual crib. Well, last night, these two little squirts once again joined forces. After putting them in bed, we heard a thump and then a cry. Sure enough, there he was laying on the floor outside his crib with Carter perched up on the changing table - no doubt the climbing coach. Dennison got right to work and converted the crib to this toddler bed. We then told Carter to keep the bedroom door shut so that Jude would stay in and go to sleep. Carter had a little too much fun with that responsibility... opening the door until Jude got close and then slamming it shut and laughing hysterically. They laughed and played and teased for about an hour and then this magic happened. They both fell asleep in their own beds!!!!! And slept all night!!!!!!

Jude even fell asleep in his bed for a nap today. So far, so good.

Doesn't he look like such a big boy now?

carter language

"Donkey Chips"

"Dog Cereal"

(because it looks like dog food, of course. How does he know what dog food looks like, you might ask?? Good question.)

"Fire water"

(we should probably put a stop to this - we get some funny looks at restaurants. Like we would really give our boys actual fire water. Come on.)

Salem for a day

We got to go see Lindsay and baby Van for a day. Oh, and Brian for about 3 minutes as we were leaving.

Isn't he so cute?!

Jude and Van swingin

All three crazy boys.

Jude was kind of a bully.... stealing toys and what-not.

We had a lot of fun, and can't wait til next time!
